Lin Walling

Born July 23, 1948 in Compton, CA to Clifford and Jeri Bartley.
Lin spent the majority of her years living in the Yakima/Ellensburg Valley.

Lin was a very kind and giving person, who continually strove to spread that kindness to as many of those around her as possible. She often chose to utilize her many artistic talents in doing so.
She was involved with numerous sewing and quilting groups, always bringing people together. Her love of textiles showed in her participation of local quilting events, sewing projects for children in need, and an international quilting showcase that she founded.
She was extremely active in civic involvement with organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Toys For Tots, The Salvation Army, and sending packages and letters to our over seas military personnel.

Lin passed away due to a long fight with Alzheimer's disease on June 19th, 2016 in Yakima, WA.
Lin is survived by her husband Rocky Walling and her two children, Sean and Katrina Walling.

Lin was a consummate lover of nature and all its splendor. and so fittingly a celebration of Lin’s life and her significant impact on those around her will be held on Saturday July 30th, 2016 at 1pm at the Jewett Center in the beautiful Yakima Valley Arboretum.

Fortunate was her life,
Remarkable was her spirit,
Blessed are those enlightened by her legacy.
We ask that any donations be made to the Alzheimers Association in Lin's honor.
